Yes indeed, it's a sweet iris alright and quite reminiscent of Dior's Homme Intense. Unfortunately, it's also quite similar to so many takes on the scent including but not limited to Zara's 9.0, Imperial Purple, Futura La Homme etc. The iris material is almost identical in all of them so this could very well be a redundant buy. HOWEVER, I will say that the performance on this one is quite good right out of the box. Not sure if I got an older bottle, but in terms of longevity and projection, there's absolutely no issues at all. Easily a 9 hour fragrance, but basically a blend of cosmetic iris, vanilla and amber. Not much else. So if that's your thing and you don't already have a primarily iris-based scent, this is a great pickup.
