Another Summer Frag

Very citrusy and minty from opening to drydown. A very safe fragrance.

Fresh, mint, ideal for summer

I never tried sedley of Marly so I can't compare it but I like this fragance. I've already wore despite it's still kind of cold here and it last like 6 hours on my skin, I'm sure on summer performance will be better. I like that mix between mint, citron lavend.

Unique Citrus Aromatic Fougere Crossover Cologne; Good PDM Sedley Clone

* Enticing and refreshing citrus aromatic fougere crossover fragrance
* Unique blend of citrus, aromatic, green, powder, lavender and musk aromas
* The love child of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme and Acqua di Gio
* Aromatic fougere characteristics uniquely set the fragrance apart from other citrus colognes on the market
* Good clone of Parfums de Marly Sedley
* Beautiful and unique packaging and bottle

* "Lemon cleaner" criticism is justified in the strong opening
* Citrus notes fade quickly as is common to citrus forward fragrances
* Leans heavily male despite being marketed as unisex
* Mediocre performance; requires overspraying and respraying

Maahir Legacy is a clone of Parfum de Marly's Sedley. It's a very unique take on the standard citrus cologne as its also an aromatic fougere fragrance and it makes for a great combination. Reminds me of a childhood trip to Florida and visiting an orange grove. It blends citrus, aromatic, green, powder, lavender and musk aromas. If Paco Rabanne Pour Homme had a tryst with Armani's Acqua di Gio, Maahir Legacy would be its love child. The presentation and packaging are top notch and the all metal silver bottle with the horse head cap is beautiful and stylish.

A common criticism of both Sedley and Maahir Legacy you can find online is that they smell like lemon cleaner. I'll be even more specific and say that it definitely reminds me of lemon Pledge in the powerful opening. However, the bottle is just opened and the scent is quite powerful and I feel it just needs some maceration time in the bottle to settle down. I also think the criticism is too simplistic as it really applies only to the opening blast of citrus and alcohol IMHO and is not a fair review of the overall fragrance.

What is fair is noting that the citrus aspects fade away fairly quickly -- which is very common in many citrus colognes -- and recede into the background, pusing the aromatic fougere characteristics more to the front. As such, it leans very heavily male despite being marketed as unisex.

This is versatile and good for all cooler weather, men of all ages, for work, school, gym and formal occcasion. Performance is on the weaker side, so be prepared to overspray and respray.

Light citrusy

I think its scent is not that much long-lasting on me or my nose gets blind after wearing it. If not I have to wait for the summer. I didn't get the hype as per the reviewers but for the price, Ok one.
