I have never smelt Xerjoff Naxos (which inspired this scent) but this one projects and performs very well considering the price. Almost too dense and syrupy sweet for my taste though. But that’s not saying it is bad, it’s just not the type of DNA I would like to wear even in colder seasons.
One word. OVERHYPED. Good packaging and bottle design, however the cap broke off when I tried to remove it from the bottle as the plastic liner stayed on the atomizer while the metal overlay came out in my hand. Contacted customer service and was offered two reasonable settlement options. The smell of the initial spay is horrendous like a mix between rubbing alcohol and cough syrup. The more it dried out the better the smell, but I am not sure if I like it or I only like it compared to the smell of the opening. I never tried Pure Havane before and can say Pure Malt is one of my favorite fragrance, but I am very curious to find out how Pure Havane smells compared to this one. Not blind buy safe.
***Update after several use and smelling Pure Havane. I raised my rating to 3 stars as I can say it has an ok smell when not from too close and my wife seems to enjoy it. I also had the opportunity to smell Pure Havane on a test strip and immediately saw the resemblance. I would say Pure Havane smells better, however if you know you like the smell of Pure Havane and don't want to pay $100 for it, I think it is safe to blind buy this instead.
For the price you're getting a compliment getting good performing winter sweet tobacco honey fragrance. If that's what you're looking for, you may want to try this.
Just received it today sprayed it 5 times, not a summer frag but since it was raining put it on and got a compliment already. I really enjoy it
Great performance for its price and perfect if you're into very sweet fragrances.
