What can I say about Overture that far more refined noses haven't already said? Well, I can give my honest reflection after only one wearing.

I have a 500-bottle collection. Some notable fragrances (not an exhaustive list to be sure) that I have in mind where I think Overture - though completely unique - deserves its place are:
FM: POAL, MR
Chanel: Le Lion (and BDC and others)
Dior: Homme Parfum (pre-2025), Homme Intense, Chanel No. 5
Guerlain: So many here to list, but Shalimar, Habit Rouge, L'Homme Idéal, Santal Royal, Vetiver Parfum...
Xerjoff: Naxos, Alexandria II, Monkey Special (lots of fun that one), etc.
Papillion Salomé
Amouage: Reflection, Imitation Man, Search...
YSL LNDL
Creed: Aventus and GIT
Tom Ford: Fougère d'Argent, Tobacco Vanille, Bois Morocain, Beau de Jour
You get the idea.

For me it's the cognac that stands out. Like a touch sweeter version of Le Lion with cognac maybe. Overture on my dry skin, unlike Le Lion and Habit Rouge Parfum, lasts half as long and projects somewhat less. Mind you, as I've mentioned, I've not had enough time with it. Saying that, it is second to none in my collection.
