Disappointed

Definitely not an eau de parfum. The bottle they sent is pure alcohol. Smells cheap and is completely gone after a few minutes. The type of fragrance you buy from the dollar store. I'm going to ask for a refund or return label. Disappointed.

Sublime (Pun Intended) Fruit Forward Fragrance

* Fragrant and contemplative blend of sweet, fruity, floral, powder and patchouli musk aromas
* Differentiates itself well from the other Bade'e Al Oud flankers
* Good transition into fruit forward fragrances for those who like modern sweet and fresh colognes and perfumes
* High quality bottle and packaging
* Great price
* Great for younger users

* Weak performer, especially compared to fellow flankers Amethyst and Oud for Glory
* Leans very feminine for a unisex fragrance
* Not suitable for those who dislike modern sweet fragrances
* Not suitable for older users
* Not suitable for serious formal occasions

Bade'e Al Oud Sublime is a new flanker in Lattafa's highly-regarded Bade'e Al Oud line. Every iteration of Bade'e Al Oud has been completely different from one another (Oud for Glory = Oud, Amethyst = Rose, Honor and Glory = Vanilla) and Sublime keeps that nice trend going (Sublime = Fruit). This lives up to its name by opening up with a fragrant and cloudy blast of sweet berry licorice aromas and then floral, powder and musk aromas become apparent on the drydown and blend in nicely with the fruit aromas. This is a surprisingly contemplative fragrance. It's very strong but contemplative and not a showoff, if that makes any sense.

This is a great transition into fruit fragrances for those who like modern sweet and fresh fragrances such as the Invictus and 1 Million lines. This is very much a sweet fruit bomb. It's not for you if you dislike the sweet style.

This is a unisex fragrance, butit does lean very feminine, perhaps overly so. Men should consider carefully especially if they're expecting something as potent and masculine as Oud for Glory or Amethyst. Speaking of which, Sublime's performance is average at best and so very weak in comparison to those two powerhouses. Be prepared to overspray and respray throughout the day.

This is great for younger users in particular and on festive occasions. I'd say it's not suitable for older users and not to be used on serious formal occasions such as a job interview or a funeral.

As is usual with the Bade'e Al Oud line, the packaging is beautiful, the bottle quality is very high, and the price is very affordable. Easy recommend if you like other fruit forward fragrances. Would be a 5 star fragrance if only performance were as strong as the other Bade'e Al Oud flankers.
