This is a modern classic weather you like it it not, it is masculine, modern and endlessly versatile. Gone is the makeup bag of the old Homme, instead focusing on woods, musk and pepper. If you don’t know what to wear and just want to smell great this is always an option and will get the job done for almost every situation. People have a strong habit of becoming noseblind to the Iso E and Ambroxan then complaining about strength, realize that with this fragrance you may not always smell it yourself but others can. It lasts about 8 hours with moderate projection, standard designer fare. It’s also a compliment monster people love this scent, it’s a lot more mature and put together versus Sauvage, I prefer this one.

Dior in general never appealed to me for some reason every time I sprayed a sample it just didn't do it for me... until one day i sprayed Dior Homme EDT in the mall and I was hooked.

I really like this. It's more masculine than some bag of purse with lipstick and chocolate in it. The big fear I had was this was going to be some out dated headache juice fragrance that only older men would wear. Think Azzaro Pour Homme or Jovan Musk to name a few. This isn't like either thankfully. This is a modern take on a classic chypre styled fragrance. Think of being on a warm sunny beach with the ocean breeze flowing on you. It's somewhat sweet. Not in a feminine way and it goes so perfectly with the pepper notes in this. This not a loud fragrance or beast mode but you will get wiffs of it as you move around as that is the ISO E Super in this doing it's magic. Some will compare this to the original Sauvage EDT but in this case I find the spiciness toned down and it isn't a cold fragrance, it's a warm fuzzy fragrance. This is incredibly easy to wear. If you're into fragrances like Terre D'Hermes intense vetiver , after a more day time version of Drakkar Noir or similar. This can be dressed up in a suit and be elegant or classy but it's such an easy to wear fragrance I'd use it anywhere except playing sports or recommend someone who goes to the gym daily. The only time I find sauvage EDT or EDP is better than this is date night or that sort of thing. Is it worth having both? Absolutely.

I looove Dior Homme so much. I have both Dior Homme, Dior Homme Intense and also Valentino Uomo Intense to stay in the same line.
To me Dior Homme is the best out of them. Truly a masterpiece. It's true that it doesn't last super long (not like DHI nowadays has strong longevity right?), and it's more of a skin scent BUT the scent is a masterpiece! It is sadly reformulated in 2020. DH smells much less makeup bag (DHI) and it has more floral notes.
Definitely check it out if you like iris smell.

Smells like super delicate, slightly powdery iris, with a touch of cocoa beans, soft tanned leather, citrus. Beautiful.
