I did not buy this one blind. I ordered a few samples since this house is known for its unique approaches to fragrance.
I adore the scent more and more.
This fragrance's opening is dominated by a mixture of bitter grapefruit (pith?) and white florals -- like lily and jasmine. I was unsure if I liked the grapefruit note at first, but I have come to love that edge which slowly breaks down into creamy vanilla and violet and more white floral. My son asked me if I was wearing a vanilla perfume -- so it goes that way on my skin. The perfume wears very well, I am not sure about the sillage as of yet.
This is something I imagine wearing all year since the vanilla and cream give the florals a nice weight that can go into the fall and winter. But that's just me.
Many people like to rank the perfume by compliments, but I am still working from home and going out only here and there with friends. So the fragrance is only for me, and I look forward to wearing it!
