Lattafa’s interpretation of Carolina Herrera’s Mystery Tobacco

I received this fragrance this morning and wore it all afternoon, although I usually don’t review a fragrance only after a few hours of wearing, but this one slaps hard, its a very lush and polished creamy Tobacco, earthy vetiver and woods, and spicy patchouli and creamy Tonka bean.

It is truthfully another banger from the house of Maison Alhambra and by extension, Lattafa. I can see a huge wave of interest coming to this fragrance, give it a few weeks and influencers will upload videos about it and therefore hyping it up and they will impose a limit per customer.

I knew about this fragrance long ago and patiently waited for perfumeonline to get their hands on it, it was available to myself awhile ago but they wanted 49$ CAD, got it here for 29$ CAD.

Its a lovely, polished fragrance, In the past; Lattafa and Alhambra have delivered awesome fragrances for affordable prices, that’s why I got several backups in case it gets hyped or possibly a price hike or becomes hard to find; it’s happened too many times when we see a new fragrance on here and in short time there are limits and price increases, get em while you can. This is the only reliable source for fragrances I trust wholeheartedly.

Excellent Fragrance for the winter

This is amazing for a cold winter a sweet and cozy fragrance. The tabac and vainille are very balanced. Is not too sweet , long lasting and great sillage.

Strong smell, long lasting. Tobacco, sweet with a woody spicy dry down. Love it!

NOW we're talkin'

Was waiting for this one to pop up for months and months. So glad PO finally got it in stock. Best price around too. The scent is exactly as I imagined - haven't smelled CH's Mystery Tobacco, but this is so close to PdM's Carlisle, they're pretty much neck and neck. In fact, this is the better version. Simply take the apple note in Carlisle, turn it into more of a sweet plum, amp up the tobacco in the base and blend them more harmoniously. Always felt like the PdM had this gap between the notes, but this one takes that right out. Some international reviews claim that this is super dry and unsweet - nonsense. The tobacco accord is very prominent up close that's true, but the sweet plummy thing in the sillage is friggin' amazing...dare I say, even better than TF's Plum Japonais? But it's a perfectly blended sweetness - not overwhelming or cloying at all. Only 2 knocks I have against it are the obvious woody ambers in the base (pretty much a given for middle eastern brands these days) and the average performance - WHICH - I have no doubt will only increase with time. But by comparison, Carlisle is a beast on me. This one dials it back a couple of notches, which could actually be a plus for many people. And given the price, forget about it. Spray this on clothing and it's sweet plummy magic. As for the bottle, awesome heavy glass and a decently heavy plastic gold cap. The aesthetic is beautiful on the shelf and the bottle fits snuggly into the foam base inside the box so you don't really have to worry about it rattling around (it's one of those lift-off boxes). Overall, very happy with the buy. And since I live relatively close by, the next day shipping was an added bonus. So far, every Alhambra I've purchased from PO has been a winner. Maybe I'm lucky I dunno, but it certainly pays to do your homework. Hope this review helps!
