* Very nice blend of sweet, leather, fruit, rose, and musk aromas
* Complex and sophisticated
* Comparable to Tom Ford Tuscan Leather and its clones
* More pleasant and less animalic than Tom Ford Ombre Leather and its clones
* Good performer
* Stylish metallic bottle
* Affordable
* Not unisex
* Not good for formal occasions
* Leather note may be polarizing to some the way oud wood is
* Cannot see remaining volume of cologne in bottle
Galatea is a clone of Parfum de Marley's Godolphin. I have never smelled that cologne and am judging this on its own merits. It's a beautiful and sweet blend of leather, fruit, rose, and musk aromas. It's noticeably sweeter, smoother and far less animalic than more aggresive leather fragrances such as Tom Ford's Ombre Leather and its clones. It's more comparable to Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather and its clones which also combine fruit with leather aromas and tone down the animalic notes.
Performance is good. Price is great. The presentation is nice in a metallic bottle, though it doesn't let you see the volume. This is a pretty good value and an easy recommend if you already enjoy leather forward fragrances.
