Lagerfeld Bois de Yuzu
* Very good fresh, citrus and floral combination on the opening
* Yuzu note is long-lasting
* Dries down to a nice citrus, floral and powdery scent with a very slight touch of wood
* Performs similarly to Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'Issey For Men for a far more affordable price

Karl Lagerfeld Bois de Yuzu is a fresh Citrus and only just slightly Chypre style fragrance that opens with a very fun and refreshing citrus and floral opening. It dries down to a citrus, powder and floral scent with just a hint of wood. I was expecting a lot more wood given the name Bois de Yuzu but that's perfectly fine. Impressively, the citrus note lasts and lasts and remains dominant throughout the longevity. This is a very refreshing and fun cologne to wear.
This is very similar to the much more well known Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey For Men which remains IMHO the standard for citrus and floral colognes for men, bucking the trend of aquatic, woody and aromatic/fougere colognes that dominated the male market in the 90's when it debuted. I'd go so far as to label it a clone of that fragrance.
Performance overall is moderate. It performs well enough to stand on its own but would also be great to layer with other fragrances. This is good for Spring, Summer and Fall. Good for office and all activities, even formal ones if used moderately. Does lean a bit young, I'd say good for teens to adult men in their 40s.
Lastly, props for the understated but very attractive "Pepper mill" stylized bottle.
An instant blast of fresh cirrus. I thought it'd be good, but not this good!
Nice yuzu, high quality with moderate longevity as you would expect it. Very good dumb reach citrus scent.
