Incredible Value Woody Cologne; Masculine Niche Quality for Discount Price

* Incredibly complex and warm blend of oud, vetiver, mint, powder, musk, incense and sandalwood
* Niche level of quality at a discounter price
* Very affordable
* Beautiful for the cooler weather seasons
* Very strong performance

* Not unisex
* Not suitable for younger users
* Oud is still a polarizing aroma for some
* Very underrated

Lalique's Encre Noire A L'Extreme ("To the extreme") is both aptly named and understated at the same time. Straight up: this is SUPERB quality for the price. It's a niche level cologne for a discounter price. The only other cologne I'd place on the same level is Bentley For Men Intense which I also recommend. Encre Noire A L'Extreme punches WAY way above its affordable price point. How this is not getting more hype online is beyond me.

This is a wood forward fragrance with a complex and warm blend of oud, vetiver (grass), mint, powder and musk (patchouli), incense, and sandalwood. It has an incredibly strong performance with great longevity, projection and sillage.

All this said, the oud note is going to make this very polarizing for some, especially in North America. It's a very masculine cologne and is definitely not unisex. It also leans older and would not be appropriate for younger users. It's great for cooler weather, dates, outdoor activities and formal occasions.

Smells like a cheap scent and nothing special or unique about it.

I have debated about purchasing this for a while and when I finally did I regretted instantly after first spray!
I would not recommend if you prefer strong scents( I don’t understand why it’s A’l Extreme). You can probably use it for daily wear but doesn’t stand out even when it dries down. Infact it smells like a cardboard

The fragrance is unique

This scent brings feelings of a damp forest, woody and balsamic.

Not a fan

I wanted to try this but I'm not sure if I like it or no...the smell doesn't last long on me.

Original is better

If you were to only have 1 i would recommend the original, the dry down is much better and it lasts longer than the extreme. This is good for layering though which is a plus but enore noire og is the only one i would buy! Save your money
