pretty good

The hype that surrounds Dior Homme Intense, the pre-2025 version is unreal so I figured I'd give this a shot as my Dior Homme 2020 is still half full. Apparently this one is about 75-80% close to it as they made the opening a bit fresher using ingredients such as ginger which shows up in the ingredients section of the box. Not on fragrantica.

Well, firstly it's made by fragrance world so this is never going to be a 12+ hour beast mode fragrance with a sensible amount of sprays. I would go between 5 and 7 MINIMUM. It projects quite well the first hour as well.

scent wise, you're hit with a pencil smelling cedar, some fresh citrus and ginger. As it moves into the dry down it's this almost chocolate and vanilla like scent with a deep rich and smooth iris. It's more of a powdery iris, not candle wax type. The fragrance is sweet, without questioning the masculinity of this fragrance (i'm looking at you Paco Rabanne) and there's a bit of spiciness to keep this from becoming boring.

Of course this is meant to be dressed up in formal situations, it's not challenging to wear, date night or cool weather this will excel in. I feel almost anyone could pull this off. I have a few other fragrances that do the same thing that I'd rather wear instead of this, Usually this is another one of those I put on after a shower or a late night walk with the dog. I gave the last bit of the bottle to a family member and she's worn it quite heavily. Dare I say this can be unisex if worn with the right confidence. i did get a bunch of complements wearing this.

presentation is fantastic, you're not getting that with "luxury" European brands, especially the magnetic cap. I went through 3/4 of the bottle fast. But I probably wouldn't buy a second bottle of it.

Mature and Sophisticated Iris Aroma; Good DHI Clone

* Good blend of iris, powder, floral, musk, violet and wood aromas
* Elegant and sophisticated aroma
* Great option for those who dislike modern fresh and sweet, aromatic fougere, gourmand, Oriental/spicy and citrus colognes that dominate the market
* Excellent for nighttime, formal and romantic occasions
* Quality stylish bottle
* Good performance
* Great value for the money

* Not suitable for younger users
* Not unisex
* Aroma is often associated with women's makeup

Frenetic Homme Intense is a clone of the very classy and high end Dior Homme Intense. Emir has put some effort into replicating the classy feel without directly copying the look of the original product. It's a nice blend of iris, powder, floral, musk, violent and wood aromas. The iris is of course the star of the show here, you know exactly what you want and are getting if you're going after this.

The aroma is elegant and sophisticated, a perfect counter to those who dislike the fragrances that currently dominated the cologne market. Namely aromatic fougeres, Oriental/spicy, citrus and especially fresh and sweet colognes. This is a mature and adult cologne and its DNA sets it apart from the rest of the market. This said, the aroma of iris is also strongly associated with women's makeup which has as much chance of being a turnoff to some users as it is to elicit a positive association. It really depends on the user and the situation.

Performance is good. Suitable for all nighttime, formal and date occasions. Leans heavily towards older users. Somewhat ironically, this is not unisex despite the heavy iris note. This is a tremendous value, especially compared to the price of the original, and an easy recommend.

Dior Homme intense with a twist

Imagine yourself wearing DHI and spilling sprite all over yourself that's kind of what you get with this fragrance. It will remind you of that powdery iris heaven you get from DHI but fresher and more synthetic. For the price no complaint on the scent although the bottle I purchased has leaking issues all in all a great frag for the price.

Something New

I have been very interested in the Dior Homme Intense dna for awhile but not willing to blind buy a frangrance with that price tag so I ordered this one and I gotta say I love the scent profile. I'm sure it doesn't stack up against the real deal but for the price point this one is definitely a great buy.
