* Intense hybrid citrus vanilla spicy fragrance
* Beautiful blend of sweet, citrus, vanilla, woody, incense, herbal, spicy and powdery musk aromas
* Really nice transition from strong citrus fragrance opening to spicy powdery fragrance in the mid to vanilla in the drydown
* The fragrance equivalent of a jawbreaker candy; multiple layers reveal themselves as the scent goes on
* Good entry for citrus fragrance lovers into the gourmand and the spicy fragrance DNAs
* Good for all seasons
* Great for social occasions
* Good performance
* Unisex
* Niche quality for less than designer price
* Beautiful presentation
* May come off as a lemon cupcake to some noses instead of a sophisticated fragrance
* Not good for those who dislike sweet fragrances
* May throw off those who were looking for an entirely citrus fragrance like Light Blue or Acqua di Gio
* Might lean too male for some female users due to incense and wood notes
* Not good for those who dislike sweet fragrances
Fragrance World's Spectre Ghost is a purported clone of Nishane's Ani, the biggest runaway hit fragrance that Nishane has ever produced. Having no experience with that fragrance, I can only judge Spectre Ghost on its own fabulous merits.
Right off, this is a powerful and complex hybrid fragrance. It opens up with a strong citrus blast which then transitions into a spicy and woody mid and then adds creamy vanilla on the drydown. Like a jawbreaker candy slowly revealing different flavors as you suck on it longer, Spectre Ghost reaveals more and more layers the longer you wear it. Overall it's a beautiful and very good blend of citrus, vanilla, woody, incense, herbal, spicy and powdery musk aromas.
This is really great for social occasions, works in all seasons, and is good for both sexes to use. Female users should note that the strong wood, spice and incense notes do make it lean more masculine and to be fair this is targeted at a male audience. Still, I think it's just as enjoyable for female users as for myself. It's a great exposure for citrus fragrance lovers to both the spicy and gourmand fragrance DNAs. However, those looking for a more citrus forward fragrance in the style of Acqua di Gio or Light Blue should know this is a hybrid. Those who dislike sweet fragrances should also avoid.
This is a fantastic fragrance overall. It's niche quality for less than designer price, is a very strong performer and has a beautiful presentation. It's got something for everyone. Highly recommended.
