Xerjoff created a real beauty with Fars. It has an authentic antiquity about it, but it still smells modern and timely. Would be at home in ancient Persia or today's London or New York City.
Rose isn't listed as an ingredient, but it's unmistakably present in the opening. Dusty and subdued. Not at all jammy. Then again, it might be an olfactory illusion due to the blending of bergamot, geranium, and jasmine.
One of my top 5 from the house. I'd say it's a cold weather fragrance, but would still be fine on cool Spring days.
