The hype that surrounds Dior Homme Intense, the pre-2025 version is unreal so I figured I'd give this a shot as my Dior Homme 2020 is still half full. Apparently this one is about 75-80% close to it as they made the opening a bit fresher using ingredients such as ginger which shows up in the ingredients section of the box. Not on fragrantica.
Well, firstly it's made by fragrance world so this is never going to be a 12+ hour beast mode fragrance with a sensible amount of sprays. I would go between 5 and 7 MINIMUM. It projects quite well the first hour as well.
scent wise, you're hit with a pencil smelling cedar, some fresh citrus and ginger. As it moves into the dry down it's this almost chocolate and vanilla like scent with a deep rich and smooth iris. It's more of a powdery iris, not candle wax type. The fragrance is sweet, without questioning the masculinity of this fragrance (i'm looking at you Paco Rabanne) and there's a bit of spiciness to keep this from becoming boring.
Of course this is meant to be dressed up in formal situations, it's not challenging to wear, date night or cool weather this will excel in. I feel almost anyone could pull this off. I have a few other fragrances that do the same thing that I'd rather wear instead of this, Usually this is another one of those I put on after a shower or a late night walk with the dog. I gave the last bit of the bottle to a family member and she's worn it quite heavily. Dare I say this can be unisex if worn with the right confidence. i did get a bunch of complements wearing this.
presentation is fantastic, you're not getting that with "luxury" European brands, especially the magnetic cap. I went through 3/4 of the bottle fast. But I probably wouldn't buy a second bottle of it.
It starts off sweet, it then progresses into this powdery and spicy nutmeg and finishes off quite smooth. I couldn't stop smelling my wrist the first time I tried this when I got a larger order of fragrances recently and I liked this a lot more than I thought I would how unique it is.
The use nutmeg is FAR from going to your spice rack and sniffing a jar of it. The sharp edges were taken away with all the other notes used in this. I would never have thought in a million years this had any in it until I read the note pyramid on fragrantica.
The leather isn't like tuscan leather or ombre leather strong but it's there. I don't get any cumin at all thankfully as I find cumin usually can ruin fragrances for me. That being said "Rock" is a fragrance I can't find anything wrong with so I'll happily wear this.
I can see this being a dumb reach for someone who is into sweet fragrances. It can be an every day fragrance. Is it my favorite Viktorinox fragrance? Probably not but I do appreciate it for what it is. I feel if one of Quentin Bisch's other employers such as Parfums De Marley put this out with an extra zero in the price tag it would have sold way better as I didn't know this existed until purchasing it. There was so little to go by about his on google or "social" media.
I'm certainly not expecting this to fill a room or last 12+ hours with a sensible amount of sprays but for the price of a tester on discounters. It's like a daytime version of Armani Code EDP (2024) due to all the nutmeg. Possibly a more wearable version of Fragrance World Rifaqaat (YSL babycat). Though this is far from Middle Eastern smelling
Fakhar — I bought it for my dad, and oh my, it smells absolutely wonderful! So fresh and sweet. Lattafa is my love ❤️ I’ve ordered perfumes from this store many times before, and Lattafa is always my favorite. I just adore you and your store — the price and quality are excellent, and the delivery is the best ❤️🔥 PERFUME — Canada’s #1 Perfume Choice. You’re the best!
Qimmah Woman at first smells a bit bitter because of the coffee and almond top notes, but then it turns into a very delicious and fresh scent. The packaging is just stunning — every detail of the box and the bottle is thoughtfully designed. Lattafa, as always, impresses and is better than other brands. This isn’t my first order from this store, and Lattafa is definitely my favorite ❤️
Habik is somewhat similar to Versace Dylan Purple Eau de Parfum. The scent isn’t very soft at first, but once it settles, it smells like bubblegum, then slightly salty. My friend liked it, but I didn’t. If you enjoy fragrances like Versace Dylan Purple Eau de Parfum, this might suit you. Thanks to the store — not my first order, the perfumes are always amazing, and delivery is super fast, just 3 days. Great job!❤️🔥
Afeef is simply magnificent! It’s such a sweet fragrance, and I love sweet perfumes. The design is just stunning, and the packaging is so huge that when I first received the parcel, I thought there had been a mistake — but no, everything was correct. I even ordered 3 more perfumes 😁 I highly recommend this fragrance to anyone who loves sweet scents. Thanks to the store — these are the best perfumes for the price!
My mom used to wear the late 70s era Opium in the 80s before all the changes in the scent profile. When I surprised her with this she loved it and hasn't stopped wearing it currently she has one more backup bottle until the website we purchase fragrances from restocks. You can't beat the price of this.
Scent wise of course cinnamon is the star of the show, coca cola is seriously in this. Without writing 2-3 pages it turns into this old library like scent briefly that one woman on Youtube said which I can't unsee. You don't smell it in the air much after the first few moments. Just up close. There's some earthiness to this as well from the patchouli and possibly oak moss. However even when you first spray it underneath the library scent there's this refined and elegant spices that come off as warm and uplifting.
What surprised us is how many complements she received wearing this. Even from complete strangers. Attached is a photo of the bottle she just started.
This is fresh green apples, a very strong dose of vanilla and some spices underneath, there's an incredible depth to it and I feel it's done in such a way men or women could wear it. On paper the way I'm describing it might be boring sounding but when you try it, it makes a lot of sense. This was such a big hit I ended up buying at least 2 more bottles of this for friends / family members. This is still beast mode, it still lasts ages and arguably this smells better than the current batches of ultra male. If I had any critisim it's that the cap weighs so much the first few times you use it that the cap accidentally sprays another spray.
this leans youthful, it's sweet but not overly sweet, clubbing, date night, fall, colder weather and night time this will excel in.
Very fast delivery and still has the same original smell from the first time I ever used it. Welldone perfume online.
The negativity that surrounds this fragrance is for a reason, it smells like you went into the mens washroom with a bland 60s or 70s era amber fragrance it's warm and cozy and the person suddently had this desire to rub yourself in a urinal cake, It sounds like an overexaggeration but seriously this will make people smell like urine. Why is this still around? Are the police using it under cover? Are women buying their husband this to sleep soundly that their husbands or boyfriends aren't out cheating? It lasts but unless you're nostalgia to this scent and grew up with it, or just a hateful wife or girlfriend who wants their man to be punished for looking at that moderately attractive cashier at the grocery store, this is for you!
my brother almost threw up when he sprayed a bit on his arm and ran to the washroom to scrub it off
Up close you will tell them apart. However I feel most won't be able to when you're out in public and they smell it on you, walking by someone. It feels updated where they took something I didn't like about the standard L'Aventure and improved on it as that was a huge reason I never bothered buying my own bottle of L'Aventure was the sourness up close. Even if my brother didn't bathe in two 100ml bottles of the standard version over the past 5 years and it wasn't a new fragrance sort of excitement I'd still prefer intense.
longevity and projection felt about the same. To me it's like L'Aventure 2 or something. I would not buy this expecting double the performance of an already beast mode (to me anyways) fragrance.
Is it worth owning both? I'd say no
The notes on fragrantica are minimalistic to say the least, you get this original Black XS for her type fragrance, a juicy pomegranate, it's dark and seductive, it's got some florals in the background. This is for younger girls to middle aged. Nights out with friends, clubbing, dates, maybe something to wear to school or working around a lot of people. As long as you don't pay more than $20 for this I think this is a bargain as it's not some huge blast of alcohol or some forgetful thin floral , or ultra sugary floral most girls wear. The person I got this for as a gift seems to enjoy it as you'd need an incredible amount of confidence to pull this off if you were a man.
This is at best 50-60% accurate, the opening has this very faint amount of "code" edt (original) to it and then it goes into this almost hairspray like scent profile. At most this is a stocking stuffer around the holidays or something to give a loved one for their birthday if they are young and don't know any better. I'd imagine you'd have to reapply this every few hours, but for the price you can keep the bottle close by. There are better code clones on here and other websites.
After a few wearings I really like the opening, however, that goes fast, you're left with this rough, woody and smoky fragrance as if you are near a fireplace. Unless you're 40 or 50 you're not going to be able to pull this off. Get the EDT version instead regardless of how "beast mode" this fragrance is. The incense absolutely ruined this. Usually I like incense and a bit of smoke or spice in my fragrances but this was unwearable. There are at least half a dozen better "Grown up" amber / orange fragrances that you could wear instead if you'd rather smell good than how long a bland fragrance is going to last.
imagine a much more expensive take on Terre D'Hermes in the opening and as it dries down take something like Afnan Turathi (or Bvlgari Tygar) and remove all the blue elements from it and this is it. This doesn't deserve the price tag it has.
Nothing about this smells expensive regardless of how natural the ingredients smell or any other claims to get those zeroes in the price tag could ever change my opinion. This one is for the collectors who want to own the rest of their fragrances or the "elitists" that will only wear PDM (as if most will notice). However to someone who doesn't care if something is niche or not they can and will easily find a similar fragrance for a fraction of the price that does the same job. Even if this was "beast mode" and got 12+ hours I still couldn't recommend it.
I got a 10ml decant of this for next to nothing and it looked extremely promising. However this is like an axe body spray take on Givenchy Gentleman EDP where the perfumer had to use much lower quality ingredients and took out the vanilla. It also has this watery undertone to it but unless for the price this goes for it's insulting. You'll need at least 10 sprays. This leans youthful to middle age, it's an easy to wear fragrance but it's too watered down to justify the price., especially if you know how much their watches go for they could have done better.
The original black version of this absolutely lives up to the hype. From a first wear this is a 3.5 maximum, it's just a typical womens spicy rose fragrance with some oud in it. It's undeniably a flanker of the original, but you'd have to be extremely confident to be a man and to wear this. If it improves in the following months I'll be sure to update my review. However right now the "rubber" that many complain about I absolutely see. Where as the original version I never understood what people were complaining about.
it's a jammy rose, an uplifting jasmine, there's just enough pink pepper to not overtake the fragrance and keeps it interesting. The only thing that I don't detect is the vanilla. My issue is how many other fragrances are doing this same thing. At least the bottle and presentation are going to make for great gifts.
this is somewhat grown up, for dances, going to the club, formal, night time, cold weather. Personally if I was a woman I'd get the black bottle of this.
I'll give this some respect. This came at a time when clones were usually not very accurate or nowhere near comparable to what they were trying to replicate, and then this came out. For Aventus clones this one is just in the middle, it's not the best, yet it's not the worst. My big concern is that awful floor cleaner opening. You've got two options, get a higher end version of this fragrance by Armaf as they have club de nuit intense in every shape and size or try something else such as L'Adventure or similar.
Imagine an actually "For him" version of Paco Rabanne Invictus. Mix that with Dior Homme (2020). There are so many similar notes in both fragrances. This is a very simple fragrance, it's a got this fizzy, sparkling and spicy pink pepper and citrus combination, there's a faint bit of invictus in the background and as crazy as it sounds the first few times I wore it, it had this almost hairspray quality to it with a very faint, almost unnoticeable amount of smoke in the background. Unlike invictus this doesn't project or last as long. But to me this smells better, if anything try at least 10 sprays of this. You're not going to choke anyone out. If you like those two fragrances or the standard Hawas by Rasasi this is going to be something you'll enjoy. This could be worn by anyone in almost any situation except for maybe blistering hot days.
I didn't have the highest hopes with this one, I then tried a clone of it and fell in love with it. Especially with that whole "Dirty orange" nonsense most people would say. The unsung hero in this fragrance is the use of grapefruit. I just wish this fragrance projected better without the need for 10 sprays. Imagine this bright ray of sunshine piercing through a cloud. The fragrance is spicy, but without it taking away from the citrus. This is for middle aged men and older. I can honestly see this being a dumb reach you'd wear almost any time of the year. If you like fragrances like Dior Homme (2020) you'll love this. I just wish I bought at least a 100ml of this. DO NOT get the pure parfum version of this, it doesn't solve any nitpicking issues this has. Just spray more as unoriginal as it sounds. The pure parfum version refuses to project and the longevity is insignificantly longer.
Personally I'm not crazy about the original Sauvage (EDT) and I certainly didn't like Elixir but this is the best version of sauvage for me, if not one of the best blue fragrances made currently. You get this freshly squeezed bergamot, this dark blue spicy shower gel like scent. As silly as it is, when I was in my 20s I kept thinking to myself "why doesn't anyone make axe phoenix into a long lasting fragrance" well, this is the closest to it I've seen and I've tried at least half a dozen dark blue fragrances since then. How well it projects and how long it lasts it is absolutely worth the price tag. Usually I get bored of blue fragrances and give the last bit of the bottles away to friends or family members but I'm enjoying every last spray.
The first few wears make this seem like the most generic fragrance ever made, but, after a few wears I ALMOST see that orange creamsicle reference the internet won't stop mentioning. The vanilla isn't as strong as Layton (Parfums De Marley), Gentleman EDP (Givenchy) or Spicebomb Extreme (Viktor And Rolf) but it's there.
Scent wise It has this spicy black pepper top to it, there's enough sweetness without this being boring or coming off as something only a teenager would want to wear. This has a beautiful depth and some sour orange peel like quality to it. The vanilla and cedar work together in an almost "powdery" sort of way. it's not overly "orange creamsicle like" but I get where people are coming from. It's got some complexity to it where I feel someone could use an entire bottle of it without getting bored of it.
I found this to be a mixture of a lot of fragrances. None will jump out at you where you can say this is a direct copy or clone. This could have inspired Versace Eros which released 3 years after. If anything this is like an early draft of a Givenchy Gentleman EDP where they improved Gentleman in every possible way.
I would recommend this to someone who is newer to fragrances, It could possibly be worn clubbing or on a date night. It's not the most memorable fragrance ever made but it'll most likely get some complements. For longevity and everything else with a sensible amount of sprays this isn't going to be a room filler and I wouldn't be surprised if I had to re-apply this at least once throughout the day so don't hesitate to over spray this one.
Imagine drakkar noir with some of that classic green palm olive dish soap to it. They added that extra bright bit of greeness to it with the dish soap to try and make it more youthful. If you like drakkar noir you'll like this. If you are smelling it up close the dirtiness from the patchouli and anything else goes away. If it was the scent alone I'd certainly rate it higher. However, the issue is that the longevity on this is a joke. Even wearing 10 sprays without any of the tricks to get the longevity to improve you're lucky to get 5 hours out of this. This is an easy to wear fragrance in almost any situation, mid 20s to early 30s minimum. You wouldn't get noticed in a club due to the poor projection, at most this is a school scent or something to wear to the office if you've got that one co-worker who claims they don't like fragrances. At the end of the day, if you like drakkar noir but want a more modern take on it, try something else like nuit d'issey (edt) by issey miyake or something else.
what's with the cap on my bottle? it's a tester. it came like this
The easiest way to describe this, imagine a spicy vanilla ice cream. After the first 30 or so minutes the spices are more in the background and this is just a very smooth fragrance with lots of vanilla. The longevity is at least 10 hours, even with a brand new bottle that has never been sprayed I got great longevity and projection with something as low as 5 sprays and it sticks to clothes for days. This leans more youthful to middle age, colder weather, night time, date night, it can be dressed up. I couldn't stop wearing it for at least 3 to 5 days when I first got it. If you've never smelled this fragrance before, the first time is a bit strange but if you do manage to try it, wait until the dry down. After that first odd wearing it'll most likely become a favorite of yours if you love vanilla fragrances. If you want a more mature take on this try Caron Le Soir.
This is a unique take on a dark blue, spicy shower gel type fragrance, which, let's be honest there's countless ones. However, the green herbal aspect of it is my big issue, it doesn't belong at all in the heart of the fragrance. It comes off almost like you just brushed your teeth using a minty tooth paste type freshness. There's that depth from the other notes that the fragrances in the gentleman line I've tried are known for but it's just a strange one to wear, a fusion of a green fragrance with some blue fragrance freshness and a blast of coumarin (tonka bean) to give it this vanilla like base so it's trying to do too many things at once. Longevity is pretty average 5-6 hours, it's mass appealing, almost anyone could wear it, it's a forgetful office fragrance, school, after a workout, that's about it, seasons, this leans more cool weather but it could be worn all year round. If you treated this as only a blue fragrance there are far better options in and around this ones price point to get instead. I'm so glad I only got the 60ml of this.
